I’m a volunteer at MYC , we are entering a club s80 but have more crew than places, so seeking to place two women, not necessarily together, on a boat that could tale an enthusiast learner happy to sit on the rail just for the exposure. |
Deborah Fisk | [email protected] | Good day! I would love to be involved in a AWKR event! I am a Women skipper from WA and regularly race 3 times a week on our Viking 30, a Farr 9.2 and Hunter 33 – on river & ocean. I have been racing keelboats as helm for 15 years. I have worked all positions from Bow-Symmetrical Spinnaker, Pit, Trim, Navigation, Tactician, and Helm. I have been a Team Captain in establishing 7 Women State Keelboat Championship events for Hillarys Yacht Club. I heard of the AWKR regatta and would be very interested in joining in as a crew member for the 2026 next regatta. Is there a date set as I will also promote to my many “Sailing Sisters” here in WA to save the date! Good luck to all Sailing Sisters for 2025 AWKR regatta :) |
Astrid Stubbusch | [email protected] | Hi there! I’m keen to join the AWKR and would love to help out if there’s a last-minute need for extra crew. I bring some sailing experience: after sailing a bit in Europe, I completed a keelboat helming course in Melbourne last year and have been regularly participating in weekly/biweekly club races since then, mostly crewing on an S80. Looking forward to hearing from you! |
